Just like so many women across the globe, passionate traveler, writer, and entrepreneur Felicia Sanders has been brought up to believe that failure and taking risks should be avoided at all costs. For a season in her life, she believed that she needed to follow a certain path or something along the line that described the fear of taking a risk into the unknown that’s nonconventional for most people. Realizing that there are countless women out there who choose to not pursue their dream or feel stuck in their current situation, Felicia is making it her personal mission to inspire and empower them to break free from their present situation and continue to pursue their dreams.

As a well-traveled person, Felicia has always been passionate about discovering new places, experiencing their culture, and making new memories. This September, she is looking for the right talent to continue to grow her platform, Camps at Sea, in an effort to fuel more women to go for their dreams.

Camps at Sea was created as the bigger umbrella to inspire people to love life again through self-discovery, mindfulness, connecting with like-minded tribe, and not just focusing on traveling. In Camps at Sea, Felicia shares her travel influences and things she thinks about and epiphanies she gets when she travels. It serves as an overall method to help people live their best lives and to give people the tool to maximize the time they have while alive. Felicia hopes to teach women how to dream big, dare to fail, connect with like-minded individuals, and live their best lives.

Felicia was inspired to create Trip It Like You Mean It and Camps at Sea to disrupt the stereotype that people have when it comes to women and their role in family-building. As she herself experienced having to take a break from her greatest passion for raising a family, she knows how challenging it can be. For one, society dictates how a woman should act and what her priorities ought to be. By disrupting the common ideals that society has on women, Felicia hopes to spark inspiration that will liberate women from these perceptions, and motivate them to be the person they want to be. They can experience life to the fullest once again, be sincerely joyful on the inside, and feel their long-forgotten passions once more.

The current success of Trip It Like You Mean It and Camps at Sea platform is solid proof that any woman can set her eyes on creating possibilities for her ultimate dream without compromising her other priorities in life and making excuses for her achievements. Felicia envisions herself adding like-minded people to her company, and giving them the opportunity to be productive while living their dreams at the same time.

“I want to keep writing, sharing my growth, both the good and the mess, and traveling and exploring the world with the people I love,” Felicia revealed. “I want to keep building a company that’s at the core is to allow people to make rooms for what really matters in this world. Time is non-refundable, and I want to give people the gift of time. That’s the only thing we will never get back,” she added.

As she continues to inspire women to pursue and initiate a significant change in their lives so they can enjoy their passions, Felicia hopes to see more and more women live empowered lives. Women, after all, need not give up on their dreams simply because they decided to establish families. Women, in truth, can have the best of both worlds so long as they are willing to do what it takes to make things work, and women who are mothers should pass this important lesson to their kids to allow them to grow their wings to become their best authentic self. If parents’ fear is not addressed, oftentimes this translates down the generation line subconsciously.
